I bought these to run some paved and unpaved trails. I already have the original compression, Ouray, and the winter 25 trail compression short in Small so I ordered Small in the cryo wave as well. It turns out that, due to customer feedback these shorts have a 3 inch wider waistband and wider leg opening for the same size. Normally not a big deal but the material is slick so when I put my phone in the side pocket, the shorts slipped down on themselves. Fortunately FlipBelt has great customer support but just be aware that the sizing runs larger than any of their previous shorts. Love the color releases, keep it up!

Ran a Marathon and a half marathon with them. My favorite race day shorts along with the Ouray. The bib holder works exceptionallly well. The shorts are comfortable and stay in place throughout as long as I don’t put anything too heavy in the belt area. Used one leg pocket for an iPhone max and one for an Arc bottle. Also kept a few gels in the belt area. Only improvement area is I wish it was slightly more moisture wicking; they were completely soaked before the end of the race. If flipbelt added the bib holder to the Ouray that would be the ultimate compression shorts. I sized up based on my prior experience with Flipbelt compression shorts and it was the right decision; still tight and comfortable. They’re so stretchy that I could have fit into my usual size but I find that too tight and when too tight they actually don’t stay in place as well.

There’s no better shorts for running than this.

I just got back from my first run in these trail running shorts in the Cryo Wave color, and they’ve quickly become my favorites. The compression is dialed in, and gives solid muscle support while preventing chafing during longer distances.

What really stands out is the built-in storage. It holds everything securely with zero bounce, even on uneven trails, and easily fits essentials like a phone, keys, and nutrition. The fabric is lightweight, and does a great job wicking sweat in the Texas heat.

The overall build quality feels durable enough for regular trail use that combines compression, smart storage, and all-day comfort. I own at least a half dozen other compression running shorts from other well known fancy running brands that I spent double for compared to these, and they do not come close. If you are a runner looking for a great pair of running compression shorts, these are my new go to. Literally so good I got home to write this review.

These shorts could be the definitive master of all shorts when it comes to getting after it for hours at a time, with a rear pocket and two thigh pockets along you can carry a litter of water, or a quart depending on your nationality. They also sport a handy zipper pocket which I used to put one thing, and only one thing and that is the car key (for obvious reasons) after it is removed from the whole chain. I have approached getting these shorts as two purpose, one for wicked gnarly trail runs where I can tie poles in the back loops where they stay very steady and the other for running road races where you can take off the pole loops and cinch your bib number in. To boot, if you choose to you can create a concentrated carb and electrolyte drink mix to use with your plain water options to run for hours at a time in a marathon with aid stations of course. By doing that you can fit the gels or chews you may need conveniently in the other side pocket which leaves the from open for empties or your bottle caps as you are running up to said aid stations. So with your shorts and your shorts alone you can store everything you need to run at least two hours trail running and up to a marathon distance comfortably.

Wonderful pattern and build quality. Definitely not too short. They fit much more like a 8” inseam.

These shorts are amazing! They are extremely sexy and hug your front and back in a very exciting way. You feel like you are constantly caressed. I use them at the gym and guys often check me out before asking where I bought them (I have made some friends thanks to them).The only caveat is that they tend to cause a physical reaction that you can't hide, as these shorts are skin-tight and mesh.

Great pair of trail shorts, it feels like they thought of everything. Look forward to wearing them on race day. Lots of pockets, very impressed
