Lightweight, breathable mesh running belt with top-loading pockets and side zipper. Customers praised comfort and phone security, saying "doesn't bounce" and "stays in place." Common concerns: sizing runs small, belt rides up during runs, zipper can self-open, and items may fall from open-top pockets. Best for shorter runs in hot weather.

Comfortable to run in and EASY OFF!

LOVE this belt. The top-loading pockets make carrying gels, my phone, chapstick, etc easy. I feel like you can load up products in this one easier than the other styles of FlipBelts. I also LOVE the zipper feature to take the belt on and off. After a sweaty run, it’s way easier to unzip than to pull it down my body. This style helps wick sweat away. I buy a size smaller than usual so it doesn’t move when I run.

Better with modifications.

I like that it’s lightweight and has a zippered key pocket, but I modified the belt to make it work for me. I sewed in Velcro on the large pockets and made a bib holder as well.

Perfect…just a bit too pricey

I love this belt! I made sure mine was a little smaller so it would be tight while I run so my phone and water bottle wouldn’t jiggle. It works perfectly! I love how I can zipper to put it on or take it off and I love the zipper pocket to put my keys in.The only issue I have is that it’s a bit too pricey. Why are they charging so much? Unfortunately I couldn’t find another belt that I loved as much. Similar belts are out there but they don’t have a zipper pocket or they clip on and I’m not a fan.Otherwise I don’t know why this belt is getting negative reviews. It’s awesome!

My new essential running gear

As a regular long distance runner, I'll typically carry various convenience items with me. Phone, perhaps a music player, powdered electrolytes, Band-Aids, etc. It's tough to find good running belts that are up to the task, but this is hands-down the best I've used so far.Pros:- Light weight and breathable- The zip closure is secure, not annoying while running, more convenient than the typical snap closures, etc.- The format of the pockets keeps items secure with elastic and gravity alone- The uniform fit around the waist is ideal for reducing movement and friction- Easy to clean (I hand wash it in less than a minute)Cons:- Price (it's worth it)The sizing guide seems accurate: I'd suggest picking the size that matches your average pants size. Wearing it so that it rests on my running shorts works well to reduce friction against the skin, but I can't imagine any different if you were to choose to wear it on the skin above the waist. Very well designed, and I can confirm that it works superbly on 10+ mile runs as a person who notices any discomfort caused by worn items. This is a rare Amazon purchase that I expect to make again, either to acquire a spare or try another product out from the FlipBelt company. Highly recommended!

Good runners belt but wished pocket opening was in the middle versus the top

I’ve used other products from flipbelt and thought this belt was good. It secured my iPhone 12 and my key chain (house key, car fob, AirTag) during my one hour of running. The material was light which made me forget that I had it on when I had no items in the pocket. The only thing that I would change is the pocket opening is at the top versus in the middle like some of the other flip belts. When taking out my phone and then attempting to put it back into the flipbelt, I almost dropped the phone because I had mistaken the space between the belt and my shorts as the opening. No complaints other than that.

My favorite FlipBelt

This is my second FlipBelt and this new version is now my favorite. The other one I own does not have a zipper, so you have to step into it. I knew that when I ordered it, and while it’s not really a big deal, there have been times when I’ve wished I had ordered the belt with the zipper. Now, the possible drawback to the zipper is that zippers have a tendency to go wonky over time, and if that happens the belt would become useless. Hopefully this zipper will stand the test of time.Secondly, this thing is incredibly lightweight, yet still substantial enough to actually hold my phone and keys without fear that it will tear. If fits snuggly enough so that it doesn’t feel like it’s bouncing around when I’m running —i f you can call what I do “running.” It’s more like bouncy walking — but it’s not so tight that it’s uncomfortable. It has a nice amount of stretch to it, but still holds its shape and does not loosen when exercising. The top of the belt has openings in it that allow you to easily slip your phone or other device into and out of the pockets. There are five separate pockets as well as one small zipper-accessed compartment My previous belt is like a single tube that has various openings in it that you slide your phone or keys into. But since the belt was one single tube, my phone would sometimes move around inside the belt. Five separate compartments is definitely a nice upgrade that prevents that item shifting.Additionally, the old style belt had the openings for inserting your items running along the center of the belt, where it touches your body. While this did make the items inside the belt feel secure, sometimes I’d be running and trying to get my phone out, but I couldn’t easily locate the proper opening to access my phone. Or my phone would shift so I’d have to kind of shimmy it to an opening so that I could remove it. This belt has the slots along the top of the belt, making access to my phone incredibly simple.Overall, I love my new FlipBelt. It is a bit pricey, but it definitely does a good job of holding my items securely.

Lightweight and comfortable

When I run, I like to carry my phone and maybe an ID but finding a lightweight holder for these items tend to be difficult. This FlipBelt met my needs. Easily held my Motorola Edge with a giant case without it moving at all. Putting the phone in initially was difficult just because of my low IQ. Once I realized there was a tab to pull so the pocket could be opened, it was simple. One pocket has a zipper but the rest stay closed by design. I wouldn't worry about anything falling out.Ordered a medium and I have a 31" waist. Snug but comfortable.

Great runner's belt!

The media could not be loaded.

For the record, I ordered a size medium & this will fit a 34 waist with a bit of a spare tire. The larger pocket will fit a google pixel 7 with a caseology case on it but I would insert your phone with the screen facing out... otherwise it will start to ride up & out of the belt pretty easily.Plenty of pockets for a key, insurance card, energy gels, etc. The larger pockets have a pull tab on the outside for easy opening. If you're wearing this with the zippered opening on your front or backside, the largest pockets will be directly on your sides (so your phone will not sit flat against you). My advice would be to wear this with the zipper at your sides, this way your largest pocket (and presumably your phone) will remain flat against your torso. Also, after reading one of the reviews here, someone mentioned their lack of faith in the zipper on this belt. I had a look at mine & observed a few things:1) the pull tab on the zipper features a lock on it! If the tab is in the downward position, it will not unzip.2) the same pull tab will automatically default to the lock position when it's not in use.I uploaded a picture highlighting that lock on the zipper. The video also shows the lock in action.Just a quick FYI - after you're done running or working out, take your phone out & clean it well. This belt is light weight & sweat will make its way to your phone (or other contents in the belt).Overall, I'm happy with this product & will recommend to anyone looking for a lightweight runner's belt.5/5

Great improvement over previous Flipbelt

I am a marathon runner and I have been using an older Flipbelt model for a couple years. I was a big fan of the Flipbelt when it first came out and used it literally over 100 times while running. Depending on how much stuff I brought with me though that old Flipbelt would sag down quite a bit which would be annoying. Even worse during a marathon my headphone case had slid out of the side pocket at some point and I had to turn around to find them on the course. The good news is this new model Flipbelt would not have this issue at all because the pockets open from the top instead of the side (great improvement!). I am using the size medium and it fits great (I wear size small/medium for all clothes and pants). The medium is snug but comfortable - exactly what one would want for this type of belt. The main thing I bring with me while running is my iPhone. The iPhone 13 fit great in the front pocket and did not move at all while I was running. There is one zippered pocket to store a smaller item such as a key or card which is also an amazing inclusion to this model. Another updated improvement is there is a zipper to take the belt on and off. This is way more convenient than the older model which was a single circular belt that you pulled up like pants. Overall I am very pleased with the updates of this belt and plan to use it a lot for running. Great job to Flipbelt for engineering these improvements and listening to the users. The old model was a good running belt, this new model is a great running belt.

Perfect for just about everything!

Sometimes you just want to go for a run without carrying a big pack or making sure your shorts have a ton of pockets. This is a great solution. The zipper makes it really easy to get on and off and you can store everything in this belt from a large cell phone to a soft side bottle of water. It doesn’t move around a ton as you’re running and sits low on your hips, which I really like. I’ll be using this thing for a lot of runs this year! it would even be functional for taking your dog on walks and making sure that you have everything that your pup might need easily accessible.

Belt does not stay in place when running. Its not too big, if it were tighter it would be uncomfortable. It just slides up and ends up around my belly instead of around my hips.

Got a small due to the chart. Its too big and my water bottle doesnt stay in place. Contacted customer service and they would only return or exchange if it was unworn… How are you supposed to know if a product works if you can never test it out. Needless to say I would not reccomend the product for use and coustomer service.

Had to trade belts with my wife as mine was too tight even though both were the same size.

Belt is fine, runs small in size and zipper is total junk.

32" waist so I ordered the medium, it was too small so I went to large. Not a problem as I am on the cusp of both. Large was a better fit but on my first use I can see the zipper is junk on this. It kept on unzipping itself during my run and I feel it may be only a matter of time before it just opens on it own accord.Belt itself is fine but with the zipper I think I will not be using this.
