Best legging, fabrics and pockets ever!
They run small and the cut is too high!! 5’5 125lbs usually a size small or XS but needed a size medium and since the cut is so high it’s still not comfortable. I like the cut of the older version much better.
Fits perfectly in my running vest. Easy to clean
I love the purple color and the fit, the only thing that was disappointing to me is that the back pocket on the Ouray is not as big as the back pocket on the Air Compression. I wish they had kept it the same size as the Air short.
The front of the waistband has issues and the stitching comes undone. Compared to the OURAY shorts this are missing the front pocket for no reason other than "its saves weight". The only positive about the shorts are internal silicone that prevents the shorts from moving around, and the 6" inseam, better for shorter guys.
I have several different pairs of flip belt shorts that I’ve purchased since I started running in nov 2024 (I’ve enjoyed this brand). I purchased this burgundy compression shorts elite in oct 2025 and was super happy with the compression and the grippers on the hem of the legs to keep them in place. Sadly now it’s January 2026 (3 months) and it’s not holding up well considering the price. The waist band lost the material where ties sit and although it’s not an integral part of the short it’s unfortunate that it didn’t last a year without showing wear. Super comfortable and perfect for races but may not wear well for long.
Super good quality light . Good visibility and ease of use . TBH the quality is so good that its metal casing bounces in my zipper flip belt because it’s too heavy. The bounce is just annoying enough to feel and annoying to see a light bouncing in front of you . This product is too expensive to have a major design flaw like this. Two resolutions : 1.make the casing lighter yet still durable (nice plastic)
2.perhaps make the mounting system stiffer/more stable
This was essential for completing my first Full Marathon. It carried all my gels and water bottles. I prefer this model over the tradional one since I am in between sizes. The adjustability of this belt made it fit perfectly!
La ceinture ne tient pas sur les hanches et remonte au niveau de la taille
Love how I can carry a bottle and not have to have a separate belt. They are warm but run small. Per the sizing, I would wear a medium, but ended up with an XL.
I have the Ouray and regular compression shorts for running in size Small and they were excellent. I therefore bought these ultimate and Alpine thermal tights expecting the same fit and performance. I was wrong. While the material quality is good, the fit is very off. The seat is a lot higher than the shorts, so the waistline sits at my belly button and that's not comfortable. Additionally, they made these at crop tight length so they come up well short of the ankles. That's unacceptable when you're buying something for coverage in cold weather. I tried a size bigger with Medium but the extra material bunches at the crotch due to the inflexibility in movement with the seamless crotch. I returned all pairs. My recommendation: shorter seat, better fit for men's anatomy, and maybe offer 2 lengths. Keep the colors, I like the creativity and I prefer brighter colors contrasting against the snow. For now I'll stick to my 2XU and Lululemon thermal tights but would gladly try the next iteration of these tights as I think the flipbelt pocket setup is better
First off, I have the Men's Compression Ouray and regular half tights and they've been a solid performer on runs for me. I thought the Alpine thermals and ultimate thermals would provide the same performance . While I think the material finish, pockets, and color choices are excellent, I feel these tights don't fit right in several areas. Since I wear small in the half tights, I bought both small and medium in the full tights. The smalls felt OK at the waist but came up well short of my ankles. While the mediums felt a little longer, the high waist and bunching of material at the crotch made these tights unworkable for me. The seamless seat area feels like it sits too high on the waist and doesn't provide the right freedom of movement around the crotch. I feel like maybe a separate panel for the crotch would allow the tights to move more independently. Additionally, maybe a regular and a long length would help for taller users as a 24 or 25 inch Inseam is too short for coverage on people with longer legs, especially in cold weather. As I said before, I really do like the color choices, it really branches out from a bland black or dark gray colors of other brands. Fix the fit and I'll buy these again next season!
Ordered an XL and L to see what i like better. Honestly i can't tell the difference other then the L seems a little tighter on the bottom around my legs but not enough to return either pair. Haven't run in them yet so the verdict is stiil out. Will update.
Love these shorts! Raced in them for a marathon and a 51 mile ultra and 0 chafing. I don't need to wear an additional belt to carry along gels, fluids, and electrolytes. They look great, feel great, and the only knock is, I wish they had a little bit more compression for my quads but overall these I rate higher than other brands that have less storage and cost more.
Way too short for the winter leggings.
I am 165cm/5”5 and I have short legs (unfortunately) but the leggings were still so short. My skin on the legs were exposed even with the crew socks.
Otherwise, the pockets work well and it’s warm. I hope the length will be longer for next production.
I love the shape, and the size works well for me. My first concern is whether the cap actually gets cleaned when I wash it. The biggest downside is that when I twist the cap to open it, the entire lid loosens. It takes two hands to open it without loosening the whole cap, which is a problem when I’m using hiking poles. Will use the one I have, but won't buy another one.
Bought these for the Key West Half Marathon. The absolute best! They were airy and perfect for the humidity during the race. I at no time felt like they were sweaty. The lining stayed perfect and did not ride up. The high waist band was comfortable and did not rub. Pockets were really why I wanted them because I love the flip belt itself however it rides up at times. These shorts 10/10! For those wondering for sizes. I am 5’8” about 115 lbs and bought a size small. Buying more and replacing my other running shorts. (I am in the bright yellow shirt.)
Beautiful color
These shorts are amazing they stay in place when running.
Great fit and style. I was a bit thrown by the whistle. I couldn’t get to it. It wasn’t long enough to bring to my mouth and in an awkward sport to bend to it . Otherwise no issues.
Wonderful pattern and build quality. Definitely not too short. They fit much more like a 8” inseam.
